Meet Chanice Richardson

Konsulent i Amsterdam

“The best part of my job is that you get to learn so much on a daily basis.”

Hi, Chanice! Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Chanice and I have been working at the Amsterdam office for about 2.5 years now. Before joining, I studied at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam, where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Tax Law and Economics. At the moment, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Tax Law at the Vrije Universiteit. Outside of work and study, I enjoy dancing, trying out new restaurants, cooking, and exploring new sports. I also love spending time with friends and family, and I’m always curious to discover new places and experiences.

What do you work with?
I am part of the Tax Reporting team, where I mainly focus on preparing corporate income tax returns. These projects are always team efforts – I collaborate closely with colleagues who are also involved in the client file, which means you never really work alone. This teamwork makes it easier to share knowledge and support each other.

What’s a typical workday like?
A typical workday usually starts with a meeting. Sometimes it’s a technical meeting where we discuss new developments in tax law, while on other days it’s a team meeting to align on ongoing projects. The rest of the day is spent working on tax returns, handling questions from the tax authorities, drafting objections, or reviewing tax assessments. There’s always a wide variety of tasks, which keeps the work dynamic and engaging.

What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is that you get to learn so much on a daily basis. Every client situation is different, which means you’re constantly challenged to think critically.

What’s the most challenging part?
The most challenging part is that the work can get very busy, especially when tax return deadlines are approaching. It requires strong time management and prioritization skills. At the same time, I see this as a good opportunity to grow and get better at staying organized under pressure

How would you describe the work culture?
The work culture is best described as professional and hard-working, but also open and friendly. People are ambitious and dedicated, but there’s also room for social activities, fun, and getting to know each other outside of work. It really feels like a team where everyone is willing to help each other out.

How would you describe your job in three words?
Dynamic – Educational – Collaborative
