Meet Jonas Imerslund Harefallet

Consultant in Oslo

“The best part of my job is the exciting and varied tasks, which allow me to learn something new all the time. I also really enjoy my great colleagues and the fun social events.”

Hi, Jonas! Tell us a bit about yourself!
I hold an MSc in Business Administration with a major in Finance. I joined KWC in August 2024, before the firm became part of Svalner Atlas in the beginning of 2025. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, particularly through playing football.

What do you work with?
I primarily work with company valuations, often within the renewable energy sector in Norway, but also across a wide range of industries. These valuations are carried out in connection with transactions, litigations, the issuance of employee shares, among other purposes. While much of the work is done collaboratively in teams, there is also a considerable amount of independent work.

What’s a typical workday like?
There isn’t really a “typical” workday, as it largely depends on the type of project I’m working on. Some days involve meetings with clients and internal teams, while other days are spent working in Excel or writing reports. Most often, a day is a combination of all of these activities.

How have you developed since joining us?
Since joining, I have gained a deeper and more practical understanding of what I learned at university, as well as valuable experience with programs like Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, I have had the opportunity to become familiar with many different industries.

What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is the exciting and varied tasks, which allow me to learn something new all the time. I also really enjoy my great colleagues and the fun social events.

What’s the most challenging part?
The most challenging part of my job is managing complex projects, while ensuring accuracy and high-quality analysis. It can also be demanding to quickly adapt to new industries or unfamiliar aspects of a project.

What makes Svalner Atlas stand out?
What makes Svalner Atlas stand out is the skilled and friendly people. There are great opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across offices and countries, which allows us to gain new insights and learn from each other. In addition, the firm offers an exciting secondment program, where you can work at one of the other offices for a period, providing a unique opportunity to experience a different country and its culture.
