Experience

Magnus is a Partner at Svalner Atlas Norway and a specialist in valuation, transaction support, and strategic advisory services. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of finance, accounting, and law, assisting owners, companies, and investors with complex matters related to value creation, business transformation, and corporate acquisitions and disposals. As a graduate in business administration and a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA), Magnus combines strong technical expertise with extensive commercial experience.

Today, Magnus advises on a broad range of matters, including business valuations, transaction support, ownership strategy, business optimisation, and disputes where valuation plays a central role. Much of his work involves strategy and project support, helping owners, boards, and management teams establish a sound basis for decision-making in situations where the consequences are significant and the demands for quality are high.

He has held technical responsibility for valuation assignments across a wide range of industries and purposes, including transactions, mergers, demergers, incentive programmes, strategic reviews, restructurings, and litigation matters. Prior to joining Svalner Atlas, he led the Financial Analysis and Transaction Support practice at the law firm Selmer. His experience from both the legal and consulting sectors has given him a particular ability to combine legal, financial, and commercial perspectives in his advisory work.

What distinguishes Magnus as an adviser is his combination of analytical depth and practical execution. In addition to his advisory work, he has served as an interim CFO, held board positions, and been actively involved in the operational development of businesses. This experience gives him a close understanding of the challenges faced by management teams, boards, and owners in practice. Magnus is passionate about making complex issues understandable and actionable. He thrives on finding solutions that are not only technically sound, but also effective and sustainable in the real world.
