Preparing for Pillar Two: GIR deadlines and compliance solutions
30 June 2026 is approaching. Are you ready for Pillar Two?
With the first Pillar Two compliance deadlines now approaching – including the GIR deadline of 30 June 2026 for FY24 calendar-year filers, with notifications due in various jurisdictions around the same time – we would like to introduce our Pillar Two practice at Svalner Atlas. Over the past years, we have significantly expanded our dedicated Pillar Two team across our Amsterdam and Stockholm offices. We advise on both the technical and compliance aspects of Pillar Two.
Our work spans the full Pillar Two lifecycle: from initial scoping and impact analyses, through CbCR Safe Harbour reviews and fullGloBE computations, to the various compliance workstreams including GIR preparation and filing, GIR notifications, local registrations, and the minimum tax returns (QDMTT, IIR, UTPR). A more detailed overview of our offering can be found here.
Two of the most frequently requested services are:
- GIR notification
- GIR preparation and filing (recurring annual fee)
In the first year of compliance, an additional data review is generally required prior to filing. The scope and fee of this work depend primarily on whether a prior analysis has been performed by an external adviser and on the number of jurisdictions requiring a full GloBE computation. We would of course be happy to tell you more about our practice, discuss where Pillar Two currently sits on your agenda, or prepare a tailored fee quote. Feel free to reach out to Ilyas Benali or Bas Heine at any time.
