Svalner Atlas contributes to the Chambers International Tax 2026 Guide

Svalner Atlas Finland has authored the Finland chapter of the Chambers International Tax 2026 Global Practice Guide.

Across more than 30 jurisdictions, the guide sets out how international tax law works in practice, from the fundamentals of tax residency and cross-border income to the live questions of global tax reform, anti-avoidance, and dispute resolution.

The Finland chapter has been authored by our advisors: Managing Partner Petteri Rapo, Partner Markku Renko, Partner Henri Becker, and Senior Manager Jaakko Niskala. The chapter offers an in-depth review of Finland’s international tax regulatory environment and its practical application.

Our contribution is divided into two main sections:

  • Law and Practice, which describes the legal and regulatory framework of the Finnish tax system.
  • Trends and Developments, which addresses current changes and emerging trends in Finland’s international tax landscape in 2026.

The Trends and Developments section zeroes in on what’s changing right now: measures to strengthen Finland’s competitiveness, shifts affecting cross-border transactions, and rising transparency and reporting requirements.
